The beginning
Born from a Simple Frustration
It started with a familiar problem: lying awake at night, mind racing, desperately wanting to fall asleep, but worried about waking a partner with white noise or meditation sounds.
Headphones were uncomfortable. Earbuds fell out. Speaker systems disturbed everyone in the house. There had to be a better way.
After months of research and prototyping, we created Lullabar, a slim pillow speaker that delivers calming sounds without disturbing anyone. No wires, no discomfort, no disturbance.

I started Slumbabe because I couldn't solve my own sleep problem. I love falling asleep to rain sounds, but earbuds hurt my ears and a speaker kept my partner awake.
So I designed something better: a speaker thin enough to slip under your pillow, quiet enough that only you hear it. That became Lullabar.
Every detail, from the 11mm profile to the built-in sleep timer, exists because I tested it on myself first. If it doesn't improve sleep, it doesn't ship.
